Assessment

Plant Assessment
In a typical assessment, JMAC studies all or just targeted areas of the factory or office using time-tested data gathering and analysis techniques.  During the 3 to 5 day assessment period, personnel interviews are conducted, operations are often video-recorded, and a variety of data is collected and analyzed.  The result of the data analysis is presented to management-selected attendees, and highlights:

Details on losses (categorized according to method, performance, or utilization losses),
 List of other problems,
 Estimates of the improvement potential,
 Specific ideas for improvement,
A suggested implementation plan and schedule.

Some companies use this information to guide their own kaizen (improvement) activities.  Others, appreciating the effectiveness of JMAC methods and the competence of the JMAC team, will opt to involve JMAC in the design and implementation of improvements.  Click on the link below to learn more!
